At Vashistt Public School, Una, we prioritize the safety and
preparedness of our
students. In line with the Himachal Pradesh Government's
instructions, a Mock Drill
for Disaster Management was successfully conducted for students of
Classes 6 to 10
under the expert guidance of Major Dr. Vikas Saklani and the Home
Guard Department.
The event focused on equipping students with the skills to tackle
various natural
calamities such as earthquakes, floods, and fires. The sessions were
designed to
build confidence, resilience, and a proactive approach to managing
emergencies.
We were honored to have Company Commander Mr. Tek Singh and his
team, who led the
students through practical demonstrations and simulations. The mock
drill emphasized
crucial survival techniques, evacuation protocols, and first-aid
practices, ensuring
our students are well-prepared to respond effectively to disasters.
This initiative was an excellent opportunity to instill a sense of
responsibility
and teamwork among our students while aligning with the school's
commitment to
holistic education. The entire drill was met with enthusiasm and
active
participation, making it a meaningful and impactful experience for
everyone
involved.

The festive spirit of Diwali illuminated the premises of Vashistt
Public school with
joy, color, and creativity. The celebration was marked by a series
of vibrant
activities that showcased the artistic talents and cultural
enthusiasm of students
and staff alike.
One of the highlights of the event was the Diya Decoration
Competition, where
students beautifully adorned clay diyas with bright colors, glitter,
and intricate
patterns. Their creativity brought life to the humble earthen lamps,
symbolizing the
triumph of light over darkness.
The school premises were further transformed with exquisite Flower
Decorations,
adding a natural charm to the ambiance. Corridors and classrooms
were decked with
vibrant floral arrangements and garlands, spreading the fragrance of
festivity all
around.
Another visual delight was the Rangoli Making Competition, where
students created
stunning rangoli designs using colorful powders, flowers, and other
decorative
materials. Their artistic flair and precision were on full display,
leaving everyone
mesmerized by the intricate patterns and symbolic motifs.
The celebration provided students with an opportunity to experience
the essence of
Diwali — a festival of unity, creativity, and positivity. The event
concluded with a
message emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly celebrations and
the value of
kindness and generosity.
The entire event was a true reflection of cultural pride, teamwork,
and artistic
expression, making it a memorable experience.
The much-awaited Annual Day Celebration at Vashisht Public School
was a grand
spectacle of creativity, talent, and teamwork. The event held on
Dec.6,2024 at
School Premises was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Satpal
Singh Satti MLA
Una along with the school management, faculty, parents and students.
The event commenced with a warm welcome followed by the lighting of
the ceremonial
lamp symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of
knowledge.
The cultural extravaganza unfolded with a series of mesmerizing
performances,
including dances, Ram- Sita Vivah, chorus singing of Vande Matram by
more than 250
students and the powerpack performances of Bhangra and Giddha that
captivated the
audience. Students from various grades showcased their talents
through their
performances. The colorful costumes, energetic choreography, and
flawless
coordination reflected the hard work and dedication of students and
teachers alike.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Distribution of Gold
and Silver medals
to the students who secured seats in reputed medical and engineering
colleges. The
awards served as a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing
well-rounded
individuals.
The Annual Day Celebration was not just a display of artistic
brilliance but also a
reminder of the power of community and collective effort.
The success of the event was a testament to the school’s commitment

We are delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievement of our student, Rashi , who secured an outstanding 97% in the CBSE Class 10 Board Examinations, earning the prestigious title of Una District Topper.
This incredible milestone highlights Rashi’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence. Her success is a source of immense pride for our school community and a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work and determination.
